- Foy's Lake: Set amidst panoramic surroundings, this ideal spot for outings and picnics is thronged by thousands of visitors. This Lake has been created in the natural environment in 1924 by the initiative of the then Assam-Bengal Railway. This lake has been created by building a dam based on a plan by an English engineer Mr. Foy. Now an amusement park is established there. The zoo is next door.

DC Hill Park: The place of almost all cultural activities. A open theater is built.
There is a bungalow for Divisional Commissioner on top of the hill - so the name is DC Hill. -
Patenga Sea Beach: Sandy beach at the meeting place of the roaring sea and the river Karnaphuli.

Batali Hill: Batali Hill is the highest hill in the city of Chittagong, Bangladesh. It is located near the Tiger Pass crossing, about 1 kilometres from the center of the city, and falls under the Pahartoli Thana.The hill is about 280 feet high. However, the hill faces threats of erosion and landslides due to illegal hill-cutting activities. In June, 2007, a massive landslide in the area surrounding Batali Hill killed at least 128 people. Foy's Lake, the largest man-made lake in Chittagong, is situated next to the hill. There is also an Eternal Flame ("Shikha Onirban") commemorating the Bangladesh Liberation War martyrs.

World War II Cemetery: In this well-preserved cemetery at quiet and picturesque place lie buried over 700 soldiers from commonwealth countries and Japan. The War Cemetery is located in a hillside sloping place, in the south-western corner of Chittagong Medical College Hospital, beside the Badshah Mia Road of the city. The total area of this cemetery is eight acres, which is protected and supervised by the Common wealth Graves Commission.

Bhatiary: When the Nutanpara Golf Course closed it doors, Chittagong saw the opportunity to build a new state of the art golf facility that can cater to the needs of international visitors. This led to the first corner stones of the Bhatiary Country and Golf Club being laid in 1983. Development on the six hundred acres of land progressed swiftly, and by 1987, the stylish and elegantly finished golf course was complete. Today, the Bhatiary Country and Golf Club offers visitors an eighteen hole, 72 par golf course on breathtakingly and beautifully manicured greens. The natural surroundings of the course make it one of the most beautiful courses in Bangladesh. This wonderful country and golf club also offers a bar to relax in after playing a few holes, a billiard room, lockers, health club and pro shop, if a golfer might need anything. The restaurant provides tasty meals and for serious golfers, there is accommodation available at the golf course. Bhatiary Country and Golf Club hosted their first golf tournament in 1987, as the number of members skyrocketed. Information in regard to annual tournaments is available at the club and visitors to Bangladesh are encouraged to explore the beauty of the Bhatiary Country and Golf Club.

Neval Beach: This beach is in meeting point of River Karnafully & Bay of Bangle near Chittagong Air Port. Everyday lots of people visits this place. Very nice scenery & fresh air.

Court Building: Situated on the Fairy Hill (Pori Pahar), this building commands a magnificent bird's
eye view of Chittagong city, particularly at night. This gigantic Judge Court building was built immediately after the East India Company conquered and declared Chittagong as a separate administrative area in 1773. The building is huge, over 250 thousand square feet and has hundreds of rooms.

Shrine of Bayazid Bostami: This holy shrine attracts a large number of visitors and pilgrims. At its base there is a large pond with several hundred tortoises floating in the water. According to tradition, these turtles are descendants of evil spirits (djinn) who were cast into this shape because they incurred the wrath of the great saint who visited the place about 1100 years ago.

Hazrat Shah Sufi Amanat Khan (R): Hazrat Shah Sufi Amanat Khan (R) (capital R is used to show respect) a very famous saint of Chittagong, Bangladesh. Hazrat Shah Sufi Amanat Khan (R) came from Bihar Sharif, India. At Chittagong he lived in a cottage and accepted service as a pankha wala (hanging fan puller) in the Judge's Court. From the circumstantial evidence it appears that he was a great man of the late 18th century. The family that lives in the compound of Hazrat Shah Amanat Khan's (R) mausoleum and looks after it are Hazrat Shah Sufi Amanat Khan's descendants. They have got in their possession a Persian waqfnama (deed of endowment) of Anwar Khan, the son of Hazrat Shah Sufi Amanat Khan (R).
Hazrat Shah Sufi Amanat Khan (R) lived a very simple life. His daily routine was to attend to his duties in the Court and to engage in prayers. No one knew that he was spiritually endowed nor did he pose to be such. His spiritual greatness was revealed through a Karamat (spiritual power with magical elements recieved from The Almighty Allah) which brought him to the limelight and people came to know that he was a Wali (saint) of the highest rank. When his spiritual attainments became known, he resigned from his job and remained busy with spiritual religious act and meditation. He is ranked among the greatest saints of Chittagong. People visit his mausoleum specially to seek blessings in matters of litigation. Hazrat Shah Sufi Amanat Khan (R) lies buried in a mausoleum to the east of the Laldighi of Chittagong.

Chandanpura Jame Mosque: Situated in the old city, the multi domed mosque is an architectural sight to behold.

Baitul Falah: The largest mosque in Chittagong. Its in the WASA circle near Daampara.

Buddhist Temple: The oldest & largest Buddhist Temple of the City is in Nandankanon opposite DC hill Park. Some strands of Goutum Budhha's hair are preserved in this temple.

Saint Placid's Church: Largest church of the city. Its situated in Patharghata.

Saint Mary's Church: With a great view this church is in City's Jamal Khan Area. There is a primary school with this church that quite prestigious.

Ethnological Museum: A unique treasure house of variety of tribal culture and heritage of Bangladesh. The Ethnological Museum of Chittagong was established in the first half of nineteen sixties. The museum contains four galleries and a small hall.

Zia Memorial Museum: Zia memorial museum is situated in the port city of Chittagong and housed in the old circuit house building, which represents beautiful architectural features of South East Asia. The building was constructed on a small hill in 1913.

Maritime Museum: This museum is situated in S.A.Khaled Road near old Biman Office.

Chittagong College: Situated in the old city, is one of the oldest colleges in Bangladesh (estd 1869) and also one of the prestigious academies with huge landscapes.

Hazi Mohammad Mohsin College: Situated beside Chittagong college. The College area covers almost 31 acres of land decked with beautiful landscape. The college Campus wears a garb of natural panoramic beauty. It is housed in eight metalled/pucca buildings on an extensive beautiful campus in the lap of nature. A beautiful play ground a stretches to the south of college gate, supplying the students a great scope to participate in different games and sports. The college campus upholds the ancient architectural beauty in the shape of a building built by the Portuguese.

Chittagong University: The campus is quite big, stretching over 1300 acres of land decked with hills and dales’ lakes and ponds and stunningly green tall trees. On the softer flat lands grass grows for cattle to graze – a lot of them come from the nearby villages. The campus’s idyllic setting is played up further on bright sunny days by the magnificent backdrop of the distant ranges of the Rangamati-Kaptai Hills. Topographically, the campus is situated at a sufficient elevation as not to be affected by seasonal flooding. It takes 40-50 minutes to reach the campus from Chittagong city by car or bus. During on-session a 10-compartment university train shuttles between the city and the campus several times every day. Recently, Mini-bus services between the city and campus have been introduced.
